If you hear the cry of the banshee, that means you are going to die. I remember hearing that when I was growing up. Well, according to Irish legend, this is true. So today, we read the story “The Banshee” from the book Irish Wonders written by D.R. McAnally Jr. I like reading about the origins of legends. I always like to see the back story on where they come from and how they originated. I've always liked the saying “If you don't know where you have been, how will you know where you are going?” I feel like it's kind of the same way when reading about origination stories.
